Privacy Policy

For each visitor to our Web page, our Web server automatically recognizes only the consumer’s domain name, but not the e-mail address (where possible).

We collect only the domain name, but not the e-mail address of visitors to our Web page, the e-mail addresses of those who post messages to our bulletin board, information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations, name and address. No information is ever given or sold to other parties. All contact information is optional for reviews or database entries and are not required or need to be accurate in anyway (with the exception of emails for notifications).

The information we collect is used for internal review and is then discarded, used to notify consumers about updates to our Web site.

With respect to cookies: We use cookies to maintain browser’s session state (login authentication).

Google Adsense – How to randomize theme

A few conversations about changing and ad placement to help prevent banner blindness has led to me to create this simple script to automatically randomize a Google AdSense block. This is a extremely easy script that uses a array of values, randomizes the index and puts the values into the AdSense block. This could be modified to include random ad formats as well as optionally including Video units, etc.

I’ve rolled this out on one of my sites to see what ad format color scheme might be the best. I’m tracking results by providing a channel to see what gets good clicks and what themes do not.

Google AdSense with affiliate store front (Good || Bad)?

Thats seems to be a common question I see on the various forums. I generally see people shouting the big fat NO in regards to this question. I’ve also read Shoemoney saying the same thing.. basically you’re sending visitors away for pennies, when you could have gotten a much better payout via commissions. John Chow got rid of his AdSense block, as well as ProBlogger (watch what he has to say about this here), but these do not necessarily apply to affiliate store fronts.

Commission Junction, Banners or Google AdSense?

So you have a web site or web sites, and you’re interested in making money online. Where should you focus your money making opportunities? Commission Junction, paid banners or Google AdSense?

The answer: all 3 (and more)

You should experiment with everything on your site, find out what works and what doesn’t. Google AdSense is a easy way to make some money on the web site, but you could definitely be selling yourself short. Shoemoney now frowns on AdSense on the site saying basically you’re selling your traffic away. Instead of having a potential new visitor to the site, you might be throwing him away for .10 cents. In the end, that visitor could be worth much much more.
